We’re looking for an analytical mind, comfortable presenting to customers as well as diving into the mathematics of optimisation.
You have a Master in a mathematical, scientific or engineering field. Having a PhD in one of these fields or business experience is a definite advantage.
To support the strong growth of Solvice, the Solver Team is looking for an Operations Research Consultant.
Solvers ensure that the solutions proposed by the planning modules are really "optimum". The solvers are designed to meet several objectives at the same time, taking into account a large set of constraints. The underlying techniques are based on mathematical programming combined with a variety of (meta)heuristics.
You will be part of the Solvice Solver Team. The team consists of Operations Research consultants and software developers focusing on delivering world class optimization solutions for various complex planning problems (e.g. scheduling & sequencing, route optimisation, staff rostering, capacity planning, ...).
Your main task will be to act as an expert in customer projects on optimization and operations research related topics. You will analyze the customer’s solver needs. You will design a solver solution and support the consultants in the modeling and implementation. You will also be involved in building prototypes for specific customer problems, as well as developing and maintaining functionality to cover generic requirements. At all times, you will work in close collaboration with your colleagues working on the same projects, Operations Research consultants, and developers.
Note: some benefits may differ from one country to another.
